Educational Programs

We're all about hands-on history here at the Chadds Ford Historical Society and we try to incorporate that into every single one of our educational programs, from children to adults. Ever since the Society's beginnings, we have been committed to providing quality education programs to our members and the public.

All of programs utilize our historic buildings and grounds, which are the heart of the organization.
Guides in Colonial garb conduct tours of the houses and lead groups in interactive activities.

Groups may choose a demonstration of early skills such as open hearth cooking, bread baking, or candle-making to enhance their experience. Please choose from links on the left side of the page to learn more about specific programs we offer for all ages.

If you would like to schedule a private tour of one or more of our historic houses, please contact the office for more information and pricing: 610-388-7376, email or complete the field trip request form below and we will contact you to arrange your trip.
