Chadds Ford Days, September 11 & 12, 2010 |
||
|
Dear Crafters, The Fair is the Society’s largest yearly fundraising event. Last year we drew over 10,000 visitors. The proceeds from the Fair are used by the Society to preserve and maintain our two historic house museums, the John Chads House (c. 1725) and the Barns-Brinton House (c. 1714); and the Barn, which houses our office, museum room and library. An essential element of our mission as a non-profit organization is to educate the public, especially children, in colonial lifestyles and crafts. Please send your completed application form by April 1, 2010. The committee selection is based on the quality of each craft. Notice of acceptance will be made by May 1st. Most importantly, all items for our craft fair must be hand made or hand crafted by the applicant. In trying to improve
our Fair, and after surveying our crafters, we have made the following
changes to this year’s Fair hours. Saturday’s hours will be from
10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday’s hours will be from 10 a.m. – 5
p.m. The police have asked crafters to not line up on The Fair field will be open for set-up from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, September 10, and 8 – 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 11. If you require more than a two-hour set-up time, you must begin on Friday. If you know of any exceptional crafters who would add to our Fair, please ask them to apply to the Society. We are confident that with your help, we can make this year’s Chadds Ford Days another great fair. We look forward to hearing from you. If you would like Chadds Ford Days rack cards to distribute please indicate how many you would like on the application. Sincerely,
Chadds Ford Days Crafters Committee 2010 |
