TURNER'S MILLTurner's Mill, also known as Howard Pyle's studio, was purchased by the Chadds Ford Township in 1976. The grist mill had fallen into disuse by the 1890's when Howard Pyle rented it as an art studio for his summer students (including N.C. Wyeth). The mill was later converted to a residence but burned in the 1950's. The township plans to possibly use the building as a township hall. |
